A fracture is a break or cracks in a bone. It is not always possible to tell if a bone has been fractured. If you are not sure apply first aid for fractures as it is best to assume it is and treat it accordingly.

Steps on providing first aid on a fracture:
  • Place arm over splint

  • Mold splint to arm, and add a finger rest.

  • Wrap the splint and arm with gauze.

NOTE: Over time, you may lose traction because of the material weakening. Check the traction periodically. If you must change or repair the gauze, do so.
